Hands full of pipe? Just say it. GraftG turns voice notes into quotes, invoices and logs.
Updated 13/10/2026
An electrician finishing a socket job holds the mic button and says: “Invoice Mr Hughes, fitted four double sockets, four hours labour, thirty-eight quid sockets and cable.” GraftG transcribes it, prices the four hours at the saved rate (£50 an hour here) and sends the invoice back:
The voice note said: “Invoice Mr Hughes, fitted four double sockets, four hours labour, thirty-eight quid sockets and cable.”
| Line on the PDF | Amount |
|---|---|
| Labour (4 hours × £50.00/hour) | £200.00 |
| Sockets and cable | £38.00 |
| Total due | £238.00 |
Not VAT registered in this example. Spoken numbers — “thirty-eight quid”, “four hours” — are understood. Always glance at the PDF before forwarding it; if a figure is wrong, reply with the fix.
Record a WhatsApp voice note as you would to a mate: "Quote for Dave Jones, replace boiler, two days labour, four eighty parts". GraftG transcribes it, understands spoken numbers and trade slang, and replies exactly as if you'd typed it — with the PDF quote attached. Voice notes up to 16 MB (several minutes) are fine; a longer one gets a polite “too long” reply.
Speak your mileage ("forty-five miles to the Robinson job"), accept quotes ("accept quote twelve"), log materials mid-job ("materials, ninety quid, copper pipe") — every GraftG tool listens.
Muddy gloves, one hand on a ladder, van door open on the A414 — typing is the last thing you need. If the audio is too rough to make out, GraftG asks you to try again rather than guessing.
Voice notes work on every GraftG plan, from £14 per month. 14-day free trial.
